Don Giovanni, Mozart's most celebrated opera, was first performed 29 January 1787 at the Nostitz theatre in Prague. The libretto, inspired by the story of Don Juan, was written by Da Ponte, and popularized by Tirso de Molina, author of El Burlador de Sevilla (1630).
This is Mozart's partition for the ouverture of the famous opéra.
