reinterpreted Perfume of History
The Victor: Napoleon. François Rancé dedicated this perfume to him drawing inspiration from the Mediterranean atmospheres which were so dear to Napoleon and to François himself.
The bright thrilling freshness of Mediterranean citrus fruits is enriched with the sprightly colourful tones of other fruits and elegant sensuousness of jasmine. The aromatic verve of lavender and geranium emphasize its determined, virile and powerful character. Leather, woods and iris create an original combination which becomes richer with the enswathing hints of musk.
The irresistible scents of the sea and the reassuring deepness of woods enhance the winning spirit which lays in every man’s heart. François Rancé created these notes for Napoleon, the bravest of conquerors.
The bottle is an obelisk, which embodies the concept of Victory itself. This enormous monolith has been dedicated only to the greatest historical personalities over the millennia. The obelisk bottle is capped with the crown bearing the imperial eagle that is placed on the heads of victors.
A little-known side of the most celebrated winner of history.
The sentimental journey to an island shaped by the winds, which fiercely blow along the Strait of Bonifacio. Paying homage to the landscapes of Corsica, homeland to Napoleon, these Mediterranean scents melt in a fresh and aromatic bouquet, which appeals to men’s soul.
Distilled in 1805 for Bonaparte, Le Vainqueur comes back as a bright portrait of the wild atmospheres of Corsica. In the balance between France and Italy, the island’s nature blooms among the scented gusts of Libeccio, Sirocco and Mistral.
Drawing an imaginary windrose, Le Vainqueur is inspired by steep cliffs and horse rides along endless seashores or arduous green trails. Within the bouquet, scents of sea and aromatic woods.
The fragrance, which draws inspiration from Mediterranean landscapes and Corsican cliffs swept by the winds, is opened by a bright fresh note.
Extracts of bergamot and lemon zests, mixed with a gentle sea breeze, introduce a refined heart of lavender and ginger, whose aromatic verve is enhanced by the precious geranium.
In the base a subtle blend of wood and leather, enriched by the entrancing musk, highlights the strong and manly personality of the perfume.
The words of Manzoni are a perfect frame for this sparkling fragrance. Discover the hidden lines written within the perfume box!
