reinterpreted Perfume of History
Albine de Vassal's gift of love to Napoleon. Albine de Vassal, Napoleon's love-struck partner, chose to follow the exiled Emperor to Saint Helen, where she gave birth to Hélène, the fruit of their love. Hélène and Albine were two rays of sunshine that brought light into Napoleon's life.
The child was called Hélène Napoleon Bonaparte.
Jean Rancé, son of François, who, like his father, was a fervent follower of Napoleon, dedicated to Hélène this creation, through which he expressed the tenderness of sublime love.
Ainsi ton âme qu’incendie l’éclair brûlant des voluptés
S’élance vers les vastes cieux enchantés
[Charles Baudelaire]
Hélène was born of the joyful, pure and passionate love between Napoleon and his last lover. To Love Jean Rancé dedicated these vivacious, sincere notes of captivating exotic atmospheres. Today, the Rancé Maison gives Hélène a sparkling new life. Fruity notes, enchanting white flowers and a new packaging hiding a “poetic secret”: Hélène is an invitation to an island of dream.
This highly feminine fragrance is an ode to romantic love and its joyous youthfulness. The fresh, delicate notes of Neroli and the aerial scent of Ylang Ylang blend with scents of Rose and Sambac Jasmine, creating a delicate and harmonious perfume with a sensual undertone.
The new packaging, a precious chest hiding Baudelaire’s words, with its pearly colour reminds of delicate fruit skin and romantic peach flowers. The poem hidden in the box, singing a passionate and boundless love, is a perfect portrait for the new Fragrance’s soul.
